Senior Party - 2017
The WGHS Parents' Club hosts the annual Senior Party. This party occurs on graduation night, which is May 19th for the Class of 2017. It is an alcohol and drug-free celebration of our students’ great accomplishment - Graduation!
The theme for the Class of 2017 is a play on late-night television – “Late Night with the Class of 2017.”
A portion of funds raised by the Parents’ Club during the years a student attends the high school is used to host this event. The Club pays for all the food, prizes (some are donated), games, entertainment, custodial services, supplies, tee-shirts for students, and decorations.
The night is filled with music, games, food and a huge raffle of prizes. Senior parents host the event. Underclassmen parents help by guarding the event while graduation is going on and then help by cleaning up the space the next morning.
What Happens at the Party?
The party is all about celebrating our graduating children in a safe and fun way. The kids check in to the event at 10:30 PM the evening of the graduation ceremonies. The evening progresses with a casino, games, food, prizes and a variety of entertainment topped off with an early breakfast and release at 5:30 AM
How to get Involved?
We need Senior Parent volunteers to help get the event organized and to volunteer the night of the event. The planning is divided into several sub-committees, including food, casino, entertainment, prizes, volunteer scheduling, PR, check-in, security, etc.
The community can support in several ways; donations of prizes, gift cards, and/or food by local retailers would be welcome. Local entertainers who would like to donate their services would be considered as well.
Anyone interested in helping or making a donation should contact the Chairs of the Senior Party Committee. Monetary donations can also be made through the online store by clicking here.
The Class of 2017 Senior Party Co-Chairs are Tyra Gallagher, email@example.com, and or Jo Doll, firstname.lastname@example.org.
