If you happen into the WGHS Library, you might see new flags hanging throughout the area. Kathy Swansan, Library Aide, shared that they had recently received the flags, poles and mounts.
The library staff had the opportunity to visit with Peter Lipman, a responsive spaces expert, about how to best utilize and define spaces in the library. The WGHS Library is a difficult area with which to work since it is divided by the “walkway” and is used as a hallway. They incorporated some of his suggestions already by simply rearranging furniture to try to set a tone for and define various areas. It was suggested by Mr. Lipman that they more clearly define “the hallway” aspect of the library. The flags were the solution to that problem.
