Catch Up With 2019 WGHS Parents' Club Scholarship Winner, Isabelle Blake!

The Webster Groves High School Parents' Club is Catching Up with the Class of 2019!

One of the missions of the Parents' Club is to distribute at least fifteen $1,000 scholarships to graduating WGHS seniors. The Club recently caught up with a few of the 2019 scholarship winners, and we had the wonderful opportunity to learn about how their first semesters at school are going. #STLoveWGHS

 2019 Scholarship Winner, Isabelle Blake

Isabelle just finished her first semester at the University of Missouri - Columbia. She is pursuing a bachelors in Animal Sciences with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management and a certification in Equine Breeding and Management at Mizzou.

What is Your Favorite Thing About College?

"My favorite thing about college, I think, is being able to work on what I’m passionate about. Being able to spend time around animals as a freshman is an incredible opportunity, and it honestly really helps my mental health when exams come around!"

What Are You Looking Forward to This Year?

"I’m looking forward to spending my summer at internships and jobs with animals so that I can further build my resume and maybe even score a research job next year!"

How Did the WGHS Parents' Club Scholarship Help You?

"The WGHS Parents Club Scholarship was a BIG help in affording my schooling. Luckily, how it worked out at MIZ, I wasn’t burdened with too many tuition and boarding bills. However, when I needed textbooks, cover-all’s, chemistry goggles, or new boots to work on the swine farm, I was confident I could comfortably afford what I needed to succeed. I wish I had another scholarship just like it this semester!"

The Parents' Club is hoping to raise at least $15,000 to support the Class of 2020 Scholarship Program. Here is how you can be a part of making an impact for a student like Isabelle!
